When a client asks for a revision, most freelancers just do it.
No pushback.
No conversation.
They adjust the file, send it back, and hope this is the last round.
The problem isn't the revision itself.
It's that every silent round trains the client to expect the same next time.
The revision conversation doesn't have to be uncomfortable.
It just has to happen.
Something simple works: "Happy to make that change. Just so I can keep track - this would be revision two of the three included in the project. Want me to log what's still in scope?"
You're not being difficult.
You're being professional.
You're also giving the client a clear picture of where they are in the process, which most of them actually appreciate.
The freelancers who get pushed around on revisions are usually the ones who never said out loud that there was a limit.
Say it early. Say it calmly. It changes the whole dynamic.

Tiny tactical tip:
Check your last contract or proposal. Does it specify how many revisions are included and what counts as a revision? If not, add one sentence before your next project starts. One sentence now saves a very awkward conversation later.
